Tibiyo Taka Ngwane ("Wealth of the Nation" in siSwati) is Eswatini's royal investment holding, created on independence day, 19 August 1968, by Royal Charter of King Sobhuza II to invest the country's mineral-rights income "in trust for the Swazi nation" and complement government development efforts. Held today by King Mswati III as Ingwenyama (rather than by the state), and operating outside the national budget and parliamentary oversight, it is Eswatini's largest employer after the government. Its wholly- and partly-owned portfolio spans sugar and agriculture (Royal Eswatini Sugar, Ubombo Sugar), mining, beverages, tourism, property, financial services and media, alongside education and cultural funding for the nation.
