The Polish Development Fund (Polski Fundusz Rozwoju), was reinvented in 2016 as a strategic company offering instruments for the development of private enterprises, local governments, and private individuals, investing in sustainable social development and economic growth. The company’s priorities include infrastructure, innovation and entrepreneurship, export and foreign expansion of Polish enterprises, support for local governments, implementation of the Employee Capital Plans program, and handling foreign investments. It has several subsidiaries, including PFR Ventures, which manages the largest fund of funds in CEE and offers repayable financing to innovative SMEs. The PFR manages US$ 5.3 billion.
