Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA) is an independent governmental entity that administers and manages the retirement fund for the County of Los Angeles and outside districts. Since 1971, LACERA has also administered the Retiree Healthcare Benefits Program. As of June 30, 2021, LACERA had total assets of $73 billion, up from $61 billion in 2020.
