Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOPP) is the pension plan for healthcare professionals in Ontario. It is one of the province’s five major investors, and is actually almost the same size as OMERS, despite being more conservative and much less known. With a combined 13%, HOOPP is the Canadian PPF with the lowest allocation to public equities and hedge funds so it is expected that they can get out of the 2020 crisis in a good shape, which makes it a likely active buyer for the rest of the year.
