The Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) began operations in 2015 in an effort to help close the country’s infrastructure financing gap. The fund helps mobilize, manage, coordinate, and provide financial resources for investment in the country’s infrastructure projects. GIIF currently manages US$ 325 million. As the fund looks to grow its portfolio, it has turned to international organizations for debt financing. In 2021, the fund received a US$ 75 million-dollar loan from the African Development Bank.
