Group 42 (G42) is an Abu Dhabi–based artificial intelligence and cloud-computing holding company founded in 2018 and chaired by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's National Security Advisor. A cornerstone of the Emirate's ambition to become a global AI leader, G42 operates through a cluster of specialized subsidiaries spanning cloud and compute (Core42), space technology (Space42), healthcare (M42), data analytics (Presight), cybersecurity (CPX) and data centers (Khazna). In April 2024 Microsoft took a minority stake through a $1.5 billion strategic investment, anchoring G42 within the US technology ecosystem and its Azure cloud platform.
