The Future Fund was seeded in 2006 with a number of transfers from Australia’s Department of Finance, most of them, related to the partial privatization of national telecom company Telstra. Contrary to popular beliefs, it is not a superannuation fund, and it manages the capital of five other national endowments. It is the only fund to get a perfect score in the GSR Scoreboard, which along with a sound investment strategy, has yielded them excellent results and made money to the citizenry in both rising and falling markets.
