The Ethiopia Investment Holdings (EIH) was established by the Federal Executive Organs Proclamation No. 1263/2021 to act as the strategic arm of the Government of Ethiopia and to manage certain State-Owned Assets. It also aims at contributing to sustainable economic development and at attracting foreign investment by creating co-investment platforms and privatizing some of those assets. The authorized capital is US$ 2 billion, with the option of increasing it over the life of the fund.
