ATP was born as a supplement to Denmark’s state pension and is today one of Europe’s largest pension funds with over five million members (i.e. most Danes). It invests across all asset classes through a number of subsidiaries and asset managers, including APT Invest (fixed income & credit), NB Public Equity (equities), Ejendomme (real estate), ATP TIM (infra & timber) and ATP PEP (private equity). It employs over 3,000 people, all sitting in the HQs in Hillerod, a 33,000-people town 30km north of Copenhagen.
